Resumen

En este artículo se exponen varias varillas de bronce provenientes del yacimiento medieval de Ategua (Córdoba). En el contexto
de la información de las fuentes escritas y la revisión de este tipo de materiales en otros yacimientos andalusíes, los autores las identifican como husos de hilado e instrumental higiénicocosmético.

Abstract

In this article the authors analyze some of the items such as tweezers and sticks that were employed in the daily hygienic procedures by the residents of the Ategua (Cordoba) settlement during medieval Muslim period. Other sticks made of bronze, identified as spindles and quite numerous all over al-Andalus, were employed in spinning labors.
