LA NECRÓPOLIS ROMANA DE LA AVENIDA DEL CORREGIDOR DE CÓRDOBA

Resumen

La necrópolis de Avenida del Corregidor se ubica en la zona suroccidental de la ciudad y está en uso desde época augustea
hasta el primer tercio del siglo III d. C. Se han excavado un total de 75 tumbas de cremación e inhumación, siendo un interesante ejemplo para el conocimiento de las prácticas funerarias en nuestra ciudad.

Summary

The so-called “Avenida del Corregidor” necropolis is located at the southwestern area of the city of Cordoba. Its chronology last from the Augustan age to the beginnings of the 3rd. C. A. D. We have excavated seventy fi ve cremation and inhumation
burials, offering an interesting example of the Roman funerary practices in Colonia Patricia.
