MANIFESTACIONES RITUALES EN LAS NECROPOLIS RURALES TARDOANTIGUAS

El mundo funerario rural tardoantiguo y de época visigoda define lo que es nuestra línea de trabajo actual con la que pretendemos ocupar el vacío existente sobre el tema. A través del análisis de una necrópolis excavada por nosotros, El Ruedo, y del estudio comparativo con las necrópolis rurales andaluzas recogidas en la bibliografía hemos intentado realizar una aproximación al ceremonial funerario establecido en la Tardoantigüedad.
Our current research activity focusses upon rural funeral rites in the Dark Ages and the Visigothic period, and seeks to redress the lack of studies dealing with this área. This paper examines a necropolis excavated by our team, El Ruedo, and makes a comparative study of Andalusian rural burial sites reported in the literature, in or-der to shed some light on Dark Ase funeral rites.
