Número 5 NUEVAS APORTACIONES SOBRE EL AQUA VETUS AUGUSTA Y

Damos a conocer diversos descubrimientos acaecidos recientemente a raíz de varios trabajos de seguimiento arqueológico realizados en sendas zonas de expansión de Córdoba, afectadas por el Plan General de Ordenación Urbana; el sector MA-1 situado en la zona conocida como Tablero Bajo, al N. de Córdoba, y el Polígono de Poniente (P-1), a espaldas de la Plaza de Toros. En ambos sectores se han localizado nuevos datos para el estudio de la necrópolis occidental (Plan Parcial P-1)) y sobre el sistema de abastecimiento de agua a la Córdoba romana (Plan Parcial MA-1). Estos hallazgos han venido a confirmar las sospechas que ya se tenían respecto al trazado del acueducto de Valdepuentes (Aqua Vetus) y de la extensión de la necrópolis occidental.
We present various discoveries that have taken place recentley as a result of several archaeological works made in each development area in Córdoba, affected by the General Plan of Urban Arrangement, che MA-1 Sector, situated in the area known as Tablero Bajo in the Noth of Córdoba, and the Polígono de Poniente (P-1), behind the bullring. In both areas we have found new pieces of information for the study of the occidental necropolis (Parcial Plan P-1) and on the water supply system to the Roman Córdoba (Partial Plan MA-1). These findings have confirmed the suspicion that we already had about the design of the aqueduct in Valdepuentes (Aqua Vetus) and about the size of the occidental necropolis.
