Con este trabajo pretendemos revisar los estudios realizados hasta el momento sobre las villas romanas en Andalucía, situándolos en su contexto historiográfico, señalando las importantes carencias que en ellos se observan y los numerosos defectos de que adolecen. A la vez, hemos creído conveniente reunir en la Bibliografía todas las publicaciones existentes sobre el tema con la intención de proporcionar a los investigadores una herramienta de trabajo que consideramos de gran utilidad.
With this paper, we seek review the studies concerning the Roman villas of Andalucia, placing them in a wider historiographical context, showing its major lacks and the numerous faults that can be looked in them. At the same time, we think of great interest joinig together all the publications related with this subject for offering to the scholars a research-tool very useful in our opinion.
