(Español) II JORNADAS CIENTÍFICO-DIVULGATIVAS ARQUEOCÓRDOBA

After the success of the I Informational-Scientific Conferences “Arqueocórdoba” celebrated on September, 2016 as a colophon of the project of I+D+i “RESCUE. About the stratigraphic register to the society of knowledge: the archeological heritage as an element of the sustainable development (city and territory)” funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness directed by the professor Dr. Desiderio Vaquerizo Gil,, pretending to be a inspirational figure for  the cultural spreading in cordoba in terms of its more exceptional heritages: the archeological heritage, the second edition that will  became as a informational complement to the International Congress Rituals, Funeral Customs and magical practices in Hispania. About the Sepulcretum of Llanos del  Pretorio.

The II Informational-Scientific Conferences, organised by the Research Group Sísifo and its project of the Scientific culture in “ We are all Archeology” in colaboration with the Spanish foundation for the Science and Tecnology of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the City Council of Córdoba and also  to commemorate the XX Anniversary of the following funus projects resulting  new different publications both scientific and commemoratives about the topic, several international congresses, PhD work  and doctoral thesis just as the process of the Interpretation center of the Roman Funerary World in Córdoba (Mausoleum  of Puerta de Gallegos).

The topic of these conferences will be related to the Roman funerary world, with the aim to bring the society the beliefs and rituals practiced in that epoch through guided visits to the Interpretation Center of the Roman Funerary World, the exhibition about Sepulcretum of Llanos del Pretorio, the archaeological routes in the city, visits to the Archeological Museum, didactic workshops and historical recreations created by the prestigious Cultural  Association Ara Concordiae, in colaboration with the National Roman Art Museum of Mérida.

 

Friday, February 1st

 

11:00-14:00 p.m. Opening of the Center of Interpretation of the Roman Funerary World and the exhibition “The Urban archeology as an agent of knowledge creation and patrimonial dynamization: Sepulcretum of Llanos del  Pretorio (Guided tours every 30 minutes).

 

11:13:00 p.m. Route “Dying in the Roman Córdoba” ( Maximum 25 places)

 

17:00-19:00 p.m. Route “ Dying in the Roman Córdoba” (Maximum 25 places).

 

21:00-22:00 p.m. Historical recreation Funus Romanorum lead by Ara Concordiae (Casa Árabe) ( Free entry until the capacity was completed ).

 

Saturday, February 2nd

 

10:30 a.m.  Recreation of the Roman military parade with exit in Torre de la Calahorra and arrival at the esplanade of Alcázar de los Reyes Cristianos.

 

11:00-14:00 p.m. Opening of the Interpretation Center of the Roman Funerary World and the exhibition “The urban archeology as an agent of knowledge creation and patrimonial dynamization;  “Sepulcretum of Llanos del Pretorio (guided tours every 30 minutes).

 

12:30-13:30 p.m. Historical recreation “Women in the fog” lead by Ara Concordiae (Casa Árabe).

 

17:00-20:00 p.m. Opening of the Interpretation Center of the Roman Funerary World and the exhibition “The urban archeology as an agent of knowledge creation and patrimonial dynamization;  “Sepulcretum of Llanos del Pretorio (guided tours every 30 minutes).

 

17:00-19:00 p.m. Islamic oil lamps workshop (Casa Árabe) (Maximum 25 places).

 

20:00-21:00 p.m. Historical recreation Lemuria leaded by Ara Concordiae (IMTUR headquarter).  Passes every 30 minutes in groups of 30 people.

 

Sunday, February 3rd
